Motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Resolution 99 -08 Approving Centerville Lions Application for Authorization for Exemption for <br /> Lawful Gambling License <br /> Motion by Councilmember Travis, seconded by Councilmember Sweeney to approve Resolution <br /> 99 -08. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Fees Associated with a Transient Sales License / Fund for Public Interest Research <br /> The Council discussed contributing to local not for profit organization. <br /> ' Motion by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Broussard Vickers to deny the <br /> request to waive fees for Transient Sales Permit within the City. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Planning and Zoning Vacancies and the Commission's Recommendation <br /> Ms. Gaustad reported on the Planning and Zoning vacancies and the Commission's recommendations. <br /> The Planning Commission met on Tuesday, July 13, to interview and consider applicants for the <br /> Commission. Since the Commission was authorized to move from a five to seven member commission <br /> and the two resignations from Mr. John Buckbee and Linda Broussard Vickers, four positions were <br /> available. The Commission interviewed and recommended Rob Sheppard, John McLean, David Killian, <br /> and Ray Devine. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Sweeney, seconded by Councilmember Travis to approve the Planning <br /> Commission's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. - <br /> VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Annual Performance Review for Ken Cook - Building Inspector Recommend a step increase <br /> to Step 4, Grade 5. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Travis to approve the consent <br /> agenda. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> VIII. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> IX. ADMINISTRATORS REPORT <br /> Mr. March reported that the Environmental Study for Acorn Creek has been forwarded for review and <br /> Park and Recreation Committee is interviewing companies for play ground equipment. <br /> Last week, Mr. March met with Lino Lakes, and Anoka County in regards to LaMotte Park. <br /> Mr. March stated that he is working on TIF (Tax Increment Financing) reports and expects to be done <br /> soon.
