Fete Des Lacs <br /> Revitalization Committee <br /> Meeting Notes <br /> September 30, 1999 <br /> The Fete Des Lacs Committee meeting was held on September 30, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at <br /> Chauncey Barott Gardens. <br /> Present: Bill Bisek — Centerville Lion's Member <br /> Karla DeVine <br /> Ray DeVine — Centerville Lion's Member <br /> Aimee Fairbrother <br /> Dave Lutz — Centerville Lion's President <br /> Jim March — Centerville Lion's Member <br /> Marc Rivard — Centerville Lion's Member <br /> Rob Sheppard <br /> Sue Sheppard <br /> Terry Sweeney <br /> John Thill — Centerville Lion's Member <br /> Monica Travis <br /> Michele Wroblewski <br /> Ray welcomed all present, and presented the Centerville Lion's President with a letter <br /> requesting the Lions authorize the Fete Des Lacs Committee a sub-committee of the <br /> Lions for City Celebration planning purposes. Dave commented that he could not make <br /> the decision, and that he would address the request at the next Lions meeting. <br /> The committee discussed the need for additional advertising. Ray stated he is currently <br /> working on an advertising schedule. The committee also re- evaluated the ideas brought <br /> forth from the initial Fete Des Lacs Committee meeting, crossing out several items the <br /> group felt they could not incorporate into this years celebration. The remaining ideas <br /> were reviewed briefly, and will remain open for discussion at the next committee <br /> meeting. <br /> The majority of those present expressed interest in having the festivities in the middle of <br /> downtown, in front of Kelly's and Trio Inn. A primary location, ease of entering and <br /> exiting, space and atmosphere, were some of the reasons voiced for having the <br /> celebration downtown <br /> Committee Reports <br /> Financing — Jim presented a financial analysis, indicating each group will need to submit <br /> a budget to better determine the finances that will need to be raised. <br />
