Fete Des Lacs Revitalization Committee Meeting Notes September 30, 1999 The Fete Des Lacs Committee meeting was held on September 30, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at Chauncey Barott Gardens. Present: Bill Bisek — Centerville Lion's Member Karla DeVine Ray DeVine — Centerville Lion's Member Aimee Fairbrother Dave Lutz — Centerville Lion's President Jim March — Centerville Lion's Member Marc Rivard — Centerville Lion's Member Rob Sheppard Sue Sheppard Terry Sweeney John Thill — Centerville Lion's Member Monica Travis Michele Wroblewski Ray welcomed all present, and presented the Centerville Lion's President with a letter requesting the Lions authorize the Fete Des Lacs Committee a sub-committee of the Lions for City Celebration planning purposes. Dave commented that he could not make the decision, and that he would address the request at the next Lions meeting. The committee discussed the need for additional advertising. Ray stated he is currently working on an advertising schedule. The committee also re- evaluated the ideas brought forth from the initial Fete Des Lacs Committee meeting, crossing out several items the group felt they could not incorporate into this years celebration. The remaining ideas were reviewed briefly, and will remain open for discussion at the next committee meeting. The majority of those present expressed interest in having the festivities in the middle of downtown, in front of Kelly's and Trio Inn. A primary location, ease of entering and exiting, space and atmosphere, were some of the reasons voiced for having the celebration downtown Committee Reports Financing — Jim presented a financial analysis, indicating each group will need to submit a budget to better determine the finances that will need to be raised.
