Motion by Council member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council member Travis <br /> to pass Ordinance No. 5, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 145 TO <br /> PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE PUBLIC'S SAFETY BY REGULATING THE <br /> DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AND DANGEROUS WEAPONS WITHIN THE <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE and recognizing that there are changes that people will <br /> not like, but it is being done for public safety. <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Broussard Vickers, Travis and Mayor Wilharber <br /> NAYS: Councilmember Sweeney <br /> Motion carried. <br /> City Attorney Hoeft informed the Council that in order to publish the Title and Summary <br /> it takes a unanimous vote to pass the resolution; otherwise the ordinance will have to be <br /> published in its entirety. <br /> Motion by Council member Travis, seconded by Council member Broussard Vickers <br /> to adopt Resolution No. 99 -22, APPROVING TITLE AND SUMMARY OF <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 5, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #5 TO <br /> PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE PUBLIC'S SAFETY BY REGULATING THE <br /> DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS AND DANGEROUS WEAPONS WITHIN THE <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE. <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Broussard Vickers, Travis and Mayor Wilharber <br /> NAYS: Councilmember Sweeney <br /> Motion failed. <br /> Park and Recreation Enterprise Fund <br /> Mr. March stated that at the Council's November 22, 1999 meeting the Park and <br /> Recreation requested that any money left over from their budget be placed in an <br /> Enterprise Fund that could be carried over to the next year. He also stated that the <br /> auditor would require that the Council pass a motion at the end of each year to approve <br /> this transfer to an enterprise fund. <br /> Council member Sweeney provided information in regards to why the Park and Recreation <br /> would like to establish an Enterprise Fund. <br /> Motion by Council member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council member Travis <br /> to recognize a Park and Recreation Enterprise Fund with Council approval required <br /> at the end of each year for the transfer of funds.
