CITY OF CENTERVILLE NOT <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 22,1999 APPROVED <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of Centerville held their regularly <br /> scheduled meeting on November 22, 1999, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member Mari Nelson <br /> Council Member Dick Travis <br /> Council Member Teny Sweeney <br /> Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers <br /> STAFF: City Administrator, Jim March <br /> City Clerk, Diane Ward <br /> City Attorney, Jim Hoeft <br /> City Engineer, Tom Peterson <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the November 22, 1999 City Council meeting to order at 6:00 <br /> p.m. <br /> II. PUBLIC HEARING (S) <br /> Public Hearing — Special Assessments for Delinquent Sewer and Water Billings <br /> Mayor Wilharber opened the public hearing. <br /> There were no residents present for this hearing. <br /> Motion by Council member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council member <br /> Sweeney to close the public hearing for assessments for delinquent sewer and water <br /> bills. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> III. APPEARANCES /AWARDS <br /> Wayne LeBlanc <br /> Mr. LeBlanc addressed three issues with Council: <br /> 1. Trail easement widths — too narrow and requiring that the trail be put in <br /> prior to any lots being sold. <br /> 2. The City establish a plan for trails and implement the plan <br /> 3. Acquire more land for open space <br /> Council member Sweeney expressed concern that developers were not making prospective <br /> buyers aware of trails that are along properties. <br />
