MEMO <br /> DATE : October 8, 1999 <br /> TO : Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE : Petition regarding ACCAP home in Royal Meadows <br /> *********************************** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** <br /> Some citizens plan to be present to discuss the attached petition regarding an ACCAP home in the <br /> Royal Meadows subdivision. There have been numerous police calls to this residence during the <br /> last six years. There have been several different tenants in the property. <br /> An appropriate response to this type of situation would be to consider a rental housing ordinance. <br /> I will bring some samples of rental ordinances to the Council meeting to aid in discussion. Some <br /> Cities have ordinances that spell out the number of police calls allowed to a residence before the <br /> landlord loses the right to own rental property. This type of ordinance allows the City to regulate <br /> rental housing within the community. <br />
