This summary needs to be accepted for publication. <br /> Also included in your packet is a complete copy of the proposed ordinance. <br /> Language has been modified to include the compliance with the provisions of the <br /> Uniform Housing Code. Language has been modified to include domestic assaults as <br /> a reportable violation. Language has also been modified to allow property owners the <br /> option of certifying that their units meet the requirements of the Uniform Housing <br /> Code without the City having to inspect each unit prior to issuance of a registration <br /> certificate. <br /> Upon application for a registration certificate, each landlord will be provided a copy <br /> of the Uniform Housing Code along with language spelling out reportable conditions <br /> that they need to include in their leases with tenants. <br /> The rental registration certificate fee should be adopted at this meeting. Included in <br /> your packet is a copy of the 1997 rental fees charged by other communities with a <br /> rental housing ordinance. <br />
