* Jill Lien, Aimee Fairbrother and Teresa Bender have volunteered to coordinate the
Holiday party for the City this year. They have solicited input from staff. The consensus is
to hold the dinner at DeCoy's in White Bear Lake. DeCoy's is opening a new party area
that will be available to accomodate our group. After the meal, the general public holiday
party will reconvene at Kelly's Korner. More info. will be coming.
* Ron Gersdorf (Municipal Contract Coordinator for Waste Management) has been
relieved of his duties. Mr. Bruce Malec (Division Manager, Waste Management) will be
present at our next meeting to discuss the renewing our refuse contract.
* LaMotte Park has been overseeded and fertilized thanks to the efforts of public works.
This is going to end up being a first class park.
* Rick Carlson called me to say that he would like to begin work on plat submittal for the
former Prachar property. In my opinion, it would be unfortunate if this "ownership"
obscured the vision of community leaders to at least have an open mind to consider the
feasibility of a four City department. I mentioned at the last tri -City meeting that I wanted to
see the study carried out and to place in writing the reasons for and against consolidation.
At this point, I do no have enough information either way to determine if
9/17/99
