• <br /> Mary Jane Lane - Letter regarding Acorn Creek Park <br /> Council member Nelson stated she spoke with Mary Jane Lang about her concerns <br /> regarding Acorn Creek Park. Ms. Lang seemed pleased after Council member Nelson <br /> explained tax dollars were not being used. Council member Nelson indicated she would <br /> like to see an adult focused park incorporated into one of the City's parks. Council <br /> member Sweeney stated Park and Recreation Chairperson Michael Navin has indicated <br /> Acorn Creek Park is not going to be an exclusively youth oriented park. <br /> Council member Sweeney also added he would like to see tennis courts placed in one of <br /> the City parks. Council member Travis indicated he thought there were plans of some <br /> adult oriented structures going into Acorn Creek Park. <br /> Mary Jane Lang -Letter regarding Newsletter <br /> Council member Nelson stated she spoke with Mary Jane Lang. Ms. Lang was <br /> concerned about tax dollars being spent to pay for a monthly newsletter. Council Member <br /> Nelson indicated the monthly newsletter would be placed at local gas stations for pick up <br /> by local residents to save on postage. Council member Nelson indicated Ms. Lang felt <br /> better about the newsletter after their conversation. <br /> Council member Nelson added that while on the phone with Ms. Lang, she made a <br /> complaint against Media One in regards to the free government channel no longer being <br /> offered. Council member Nelson addressed and resolved the complaint, as well as <br /> prepared an article for the next City newsletter to inform residents this service is still <br /> offered. <br /> Bob and Sue Tschida - Letter regarding slope of driveway <br /> Bob Tschida stated that as per the letter, he questions the driveway located at 1 860 <br /> Revoir Street, not being taken out for sidewalk placement. Council member Nelson asked <br /> City Engineer Tom Peterson to look at the driveway on Revoir Street. Mr. Peterson <br /> indicated he has looked at the driveway on 1860 Revoir, and concluded it was not put in <br /> correctly, and that is has over the City's required 2% slope. <br /> Mr. March referred to the developers agreement, which indicates the sidewalk has to be <br /> put in before the driveway. Mr. Palzer mentioned the developer is responsible for putting <br /> in the sidewalk, and added the sidewalks in Acorn Creek have been replaced numerous <br /> times. <br /> Mr. Hoeft stated the responsibility is with the developer. Mr. Hoeft added the City can <br /> work to eliminate sidewalk problems in the future via the developers agreement. <br /> Council member Nelson stated the homeowner could take the developer or the builder to <br /> court. Mr. Tschida mentioned this problem occurred over two years ago. Mr. Palzer <br /> indicated the sidewalk was not on the certificate of survey. Council member Nelson asked <br /> Page 3 of 5 _ <br />
