CAT ORDINANCE <br /> City Newsletter <br /> Rosemount: <br /> • Dogs and cats over six months of age must be licensed. Registration <br /> is valid for two years and can be obtained a the Police Department. <br /> • Tag & collar required. All dogs & cats in the City must have a <br /> current rabies vaccine and be licensed by the City. <br /> • Restraint required. The owner shall keep his /her dog or cat under <br /> restraint at all times. <br /> • No personal shall keep or harbor a dog or cat in the City which <br /> annoys others by barking or crying. <br /> • Animal feces must be removed by the pet owner. <br /> • A kennel or cattery license is required to keep more than four cats or <br /> four does over six months of age. <br /> • Enforcement & Impoundment. Animal control complaints can be <br /> made seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Call the Rosemount Police <br /> Dept at xxx for assistance to report loose animals. Impounded dogs <br /> or cats are taken to xxxxx Impound fees will be charged upon pick up <br /> of the animal. <br /> Roseville: <br /> • City ordinance requires cats to be license. The cost of the license is <br /> $10. Per two years, plus a current certificate of vaccination for <br /> rabies and distemper. <br /> • The city will hold a cat clinic (dogs will be in 2000) from 9:00 - <br /> 11:00 am April 24 at the Public Works Building behind City Hall. No <br /> appointment is necessary. Rabies shots will be offered at a <br /> discounted rate of $10. <br /> • Households may have no more than three cats; or two dogs and one <br /> cat; or two cats and one dog without a kennel license. <br /> • Pets must be restrained by fence or leash. <br /> • Ordinance No. xxx states that any person permitting any dog or <br /> other domestic animal to be on property, public or private, not <br /> owned or possessed by such person, shall remove excrement left by <br /> such dog to a proper receptacle located on property owned or <br /> possessed by such person. This is especially import to remember in <br /> city parks. <br />
