Planning & Zoning May 4, 1999 <br /> Mr. Paul Palzer confirmed Ms. Broussard Vickers question regarding a Satellite that <br /> meets with the minimal facility requirements fora business. <br /> Mr. Brian Hanson confirmed MPCA will regulate the cement overage/droppings in order <br /> to protect the creek from needless - run off. <br /> Motion by Linda Broussard Vickers to close the public hearing. Motion seconded <br /> by Al LaMotte: Motion carried - unanimously. <br /> Variance Request - Killian <br /> Mr David Killian would like to remove a present - structure and replace larger <br /> facility to house a van and a workshop. The rear property is not usable and the <br /> neighboring property owners put in-a similau structure -that is within two -(2)- feet of the <br /> property line. The Commission granted a variance for that structure. Mr. Killian <br /> regnestedthe same consideration. <br /> Ms. Welk questioned Paul Palzeras to cuiieutpolicy. Mr. Palzer stated the cuurent policy <br /> reflects a three (3) foot building code, adding the City code is five (5) feet for emergency <br /> vehicle access. <br /> Mr: Killian - requested the Cormnissiorrgrant vauiance fora porcharc uujunction <br /> with the garage expansion variance. <br /> Ms Gaustad stated whetrarequestto the Ordinance is presented - to -the <br /> Commission, the City needs to notify the public of the proposal. In short, the City cannot <br /> add this-request to the existing varia«tcrequestwhicir has been published - dud noticed. <br /> Mr. Palzer added that the variance that was granted to the lot next door is Located in the <br /> B Commercial district. Furthermore 1695-Sorel- Street does not fall under the-accessory <br /> building regulation for residential properties. <br /> MotiorrbyLinda Broussard Vickers the public bearing. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Variance Request - Centennial District 12 <br /> Chair Welk read the Centennial School Districts request to install a sign near Main Street <br /> on the school parking lot. <br /> Mr: Palzer explained the approximate sign location encroaches on the 35' setback <br /> 10 feet. <br /> Motion by Linda Broussard dickersta close the Motion - seconded <br /> by AI LaMotte.
