CHAPTER I PURPOSE / AUTHORITY / DEFINITIONS <br /> SECTION 3 ADDITIONAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 49 <br /> SECTION 4 IMPOUNDMENT OF PETS 49 <br /> SECTION 5 PERMIT REVOCATION 49 S ection 1 Purpose <br /> 6 EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE OF DUTY 49 rP ose <br /> SECTION 7 CLOSING OF PARKWAYS 50 <br /> CHAPTER IX MISCELLANEOUS The purpose of the Anoka County Parks and Recreation <br /> SECTION 1 CONFLICT 51 Department is to provide parks, open space and leisure <br /> SECTION 2 ENACTMENT 51 services for the public. The primary mission is to protect, <br /> SECTION 3 REPEALER 51 preserve and restore a natural, resource based park <br /> SECTION 4 CAPTIONS AND HEADINGS 51 <br /> SECTION 5 SEVERABILITY 52 system. In accomplishing that mission, the Department <br /> SECTION 6 AMENDMENTS 52 seeks to preserve, enhance and interpret natural resources <br /> CHAPTER X EFFECTIVE DATE 53 and wildlife and create user - friendly facilities, programs, <br /> services and opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment <br /> while promoting leisure well -being with an emphasis on <br /> outdoor recreation and nature appreciation. The <br /> Department also seeks to provide safe, clean and well <br /> maintained facilities to accommodate a broad and diverse <br /> population of users so that all users may enjoy the park <br /> system. <br /> Section 2 Policy <br /> In order to accomplish this purpose, the Anoka County <br /> Board of Commissioners deems it reasonable, necessary <br /> and desirable to provide an ordinance specifying rules and <br /> regulations in order to provide: for the safe and peaceful <br /> use of parklands; for the education and recreation of the <br /> Page 1 of 53 <br />
