Council Member Broussard Vickers reported the Planning and Zoning Commission was working <br /> on changes to the sign ordinance and amendments to Ordinance #4. There will be a public hearing <br /> on the sign ordinance at the next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. <br /> Council Member Travis reported the EDC is looking for activities to get involved in and is also <br /> recruiting members. <br /> XII. ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> Centennial Lakes Police Department's Use of the Public Works Site (1694 Sorel) <br /> Mr. March explained he had received a request for permission to allow the Police Depth talent to <br /> store their squads in the old public works department building during the winter. <br /> Council Member Sweeney questioned what the Police Department planned to do for squad storage <br /> next winter. <br /> Mayor Wilharber indicated he would like a clarification on the request from the Police <br /> Department. He indicated he would speak to the Chief and report back to Council. <br /> Mr. March explained the City had received seven (7) applications for the Fete de Lacs Committee <br /> and as the committee is a seven (7) member committee he recommended approval of the seven <br /> applicants. <br /> Motion by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers to appoint <br /> the seven applicants to the Fete de Lacs Committee as recommended by Staff. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. March explained to Council he had prepared a Resolution adopting the tax levy that could be <br /> approved tonight or at the December 27, 2000 meeting, as it did not need to be approved until <br /> December 28, 2000. <br /> Council Member Sweeney indicated he had received comments as recently as last night <br /> concerning the tax increase. Taxes were not raised but property values were increased. <br /> Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers and seconded by Council Member Sweeney <br /> to approve Resolution 00 -38 adopting the tax levy. All in favor. Vote - Ayes, 4 (Sweeney, <br /> Nelson, Broussard Vickers, Wilharber) Nays, 1 (Travis). Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Council Member Travis, seconded by Council Member Sweeney to recess to the <br /> executive session at 9:46 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> XIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Council Member , seconded by Council Member to Adjourn <br /> the December 13, 2000 City Council Meeting at p.m. All in favor.
