The City's <br /> bank made several attempts to have this check honored with no success. Ms. <br /> Underwood's account was debited the original utility charges of $44, $4.40 in late fees <br /> and an additional $25 returned check fee. Ms. Underwood was notified via mail of the <br /> NSF /Closed Account check and the above affects on her account <br /> Last week, I was contacted by Ms. Tammy Har, Ms. Underwood's home health care aid, <br /> who explained Ms. Underwood's limited income and health status. I suggested that Ms. <br /> Underwood write a letter to Council requesting that the $25 returned check be waived. <br /> (attached) <br /> Staff requests that Council consider Ms. Underwood's request. <br /> Thank you. <br />
