As you are aware, the construction took place in 1998, and we have been trying to resolve the punch list and change order items with the contractor. The last correspondence I have from Nancy is from March 10, 2000, where she was requesting payment for 2 change order items- mega lugs in lieu of regular glands on the water main; and time spent looking for existing steel casing pipes under the road. These two items totalled $14,969.14. We were in disagreement on these items, and no action was taken. When Nancy called last week, she said to forget about the change orders and requested the City final out the project and pay the remaining retainage. Dan Schluender prepared the attached Request For Payment No. 7 /Final on 9 ecember 3 , 1999. The amounts represent only remaining retainage, totalling $21,288.78. he total amount completed ($425,775.60) is $83,015.05 less than the rigin ntract Amount of $508,790.65. We recommend payment of $21,288.78 to Bonine Excavating, Inc., which is the 7 and Final Payment for the 20 Avenue Utility Improvements.
