Memorandum <br /> To: City of Centerville City Council Members <br /> From: Ray DeVine, Fete des Lacs <br /> Date: 8 -30 -00 <br /> Subject: 2001 Festival Committee <br /> The 2001 city celebration is coming up quickly and I am recommending to <br /> the City Council that we set -up an official committee to plan the event next <br /> year. I feel that this process needs to be done fair and I have spoken to a lot <br /> of people who feel this is the correct way to go. <br /> There are several issues that need immediate attention for next year's event. <br /> I would like to have a meeting; with the members of the new 2001 Festival <br /> Committee by Oct. 19, 2000. In order to do this we will need to advertise <br /> these openings and fill the se\ en seats rather quickly. Enclosed, please find <br /> more information on how the committee could be structured and how we <br /> could fill the seats on the committee. <br /> One of these issues, that need ; immediate attention, is the land located north <br /> of Laurie Lamotte Park. Last year, we were allowed to use 1 acre of this <br /> land at a cost of $200. It would be in the cities best interest to secure this <br /> land for next years celebration.
