0 <br /> NOT <br /> APPROVED <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> November 1, 2000 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks and Recreation Committee of the City <br /> of Centerville held their regularly scheduled meeting on November 1, 2000 at City Hall, <br /> 1880 Main Street. Chairperson Doug Porter called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> Present: Chairperson Doug Porter <br /> Wayne LeBlanc <br /> Karla DeVine <br /> Tedd Peterson <br /> Brian Walter <br /> Terry Sweeney (Council liaison) <br /> Absent: <br /> Staff: Till Lien <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Pheasant Marsh <br /> Teny Hannah from Ground Development and Troy Livgard from James R Hill, Inc. <br /> (Project Engineer) appeared before the Parks and Recreation Committee to discuss the <br /> preliminary plat for the proposed Pheasant Marsh development. Mr. Hannah, Mr. <br /> Livgard and the Parks and Recreation Committee discussed the street layout, easements, <br /> sidewalks, trail, parkland, and a buffer between the Center Oaks development and the <br /> new development. Mr. Livgard commented that the development would be built in <br /> phases to accommodate the MUSA, which indicates that some of the property isn't <br /> scheduled for development until the year 2005. <br /> Mr. LeBlanc mentioned that he would like to see 10% of the land dedicated for park use, <br /> and more specifically where the trail will be placed. Mr. Porter commented that he <br /> would like the trail to connect straight across Centerville Road to the trail in the Hunters <br /> Crossing development. <br /> The committee discussed at length, the placement of a park and whether the committee <br /> should request money or park land from the developer. <br /> 1 <br />
