Arc Anoka, Ramsey, and Suburban Inc. JAN 2 7 2000
Advocacy and support for people with developmental disabilities and their families
January 20, 2000
Jim March
City of Centerville
1880 Main St.
Centerville, MN 55038
Dear Jim:
Arc Anoka, Ramsey and Suburban is pleased to submit the
accompanying application for Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funding for 2000 in the amount of $1,000. Please note
that effective January 1, 2000 Arc Suburban, serving Dakota,
Scott and Washington counties, merged into Arc of Anoka and
Ramsey Counties. The Board of Directors maintains a strong
grassroots focus and local services to individuals with
disabilities and their families will be strengthened by this
merger.
Our request for funding for the next fiscal year cycle is to
provide core support and advocacy services to individuals with
developmental disabilities and their families living in Anoka
County and the City of Centerville. I have included a budget
that shows the total income and expenses for the agency and a
breakdown for programs and services in Anoka and Ramsey
Counties as well as Suburban serving Dakota, Scott and
Washington counties.
You will note that Arc tracks expenses and contributions by
county to insure local funds are used to support local programs
and services. You will also see that our management /fund
raising expenses are a little over 20% of total costs - well
below the recommended level.
It is our sincere hope that the City of Centerville will
continue the past history of supporting community members with
developmental disabilities by funding this proposal. I look
forward to attending a Public Hearing to talk more about Arc if
needed. If you have any questions please feel free to contact
me at 612/890 -3057
Sincerely,
" maria ne Reicc ,
Executive Director
Blaine Office • 1201 89th Avenue NE • Suite 305 • Blaine, MN 55434 - 3373.612/783 -4958 • Fax: 612/783 -4900 {
St. Paul Office • 770 Transfer Road • Suite 26 • St. Paul, MN 55114.651/523 -0876 • Fax: 651/523 -0829
Suburban Office • 1526 122nd Street • Burnsville, MN 55337.612/890 -3057 • Fax: 612/890 -3527
