MEMO <br /> DATE : March 24, 2000 <br /> TO : Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE : LaMotte Park - Outdoor Recreation Grant <br /> Included in your packet is a copy of a resolution that authorizes the City to submit a grant <br /> application to the DNR Outdoor Recreation Grant program. I will bring a copy of the <br /> complete grant application to the meeting and give an overview of what is contained in <br /> the application. <br /> I have spoke to our local contact at the DNR to inquire about available funding. It does <br /> not appear likely that there will be any funding available for this program this year. <br /> However, they do encourage communities to submit applications to help show the <br /> legislature the need for future funding for municipal park improvement projects. <br />
