Not Approved <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> May 24, 2000 <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly <br /> scheduled meeting on May 24, 2000, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Member Dick Travis <br /> Council Member Terry Sweeney <br /> Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers <br /> Council Member Mari Nelson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> STAFF: City Administrator, Jim March <br /> City Attorney, James Hoeft <br /> City Engineer, Tom Peterson <br /> I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the May 24, 2000 City Council meeting to order at 6:00 <br /> p.m <br /> II. PUBLIC HEARING (S) — None. <br /> III. APPEARANCES /AWARDS <br /> Milo Bennett — Centennial Fire District 2001 Budget <br /> Council Member Sweeney dismissed himself from this discussion. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated Chief Bennett was before the Council for approval of the <br /> year 2001 budget. He highlighted the changes over last year as being a marginal <br /> increase in utilities, medical supplies, salaried positions, and a full -time secretary. <br /> Chief Bennett stated there was a 4.21% increase for the 2000 budget over the <br /> 1999 budget and the cost per citizen would maintain at the same level. <br /> Council Member Nelson asked for the salaries paid to the new Assistant Fire <br /> Marshal. Chief Bennett noted this was only a $150 a month increase for this <br /> position. <br /> Bald Eagle Water Ski Club — Ramp Reauest <br /> Dean Havel, Representative of Bald Eagle Water Ski Club, stated he is before the <br /> Council to request a ramp permit again for Centerville Lake.
