Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission held their regular meeting on Tuesday, <br /> July 2, 1985, at City Hall. Chairman Tourville called <br /> the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Present: Welk, Lindgren, <br /> Buesseler. Absent: Murray. No liaison from the Council. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Lindgren to approve the minutes <br /> of the June 4, 1985 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Discussion on the need for a building permit for a pole <br /> barn at the Koch residence, 1626 Peltier Lake Drive. After <br /> discussing the matter with the Building Inspector, it was <br /> determined a building permit was needed, and there is no <br /> exception for an agricultural building. Clerk will contact <br /> Mr. Koch to request he obtain a permit. <br /> Appearance of Dean Anderson. It was suggested Mr. Anderson <br /> apply for a special use permit at the June Planning & Zoning <br /> meeting. Upon further research it was determined that body <br /> shops are not a permitted special use in an Industrial area. <br /> Discussion on amending Ordinance #4 to either include body <br /> shops or have underlying zoning apply. It was determined <br /> underlying zoning required more research. Motion by Buesseler, <br /> second by Welk to hold a public hearing on August 6, 1985, <br /> at 7:00 P.M., at City Hall, for the purpose of amending <br /> Ordinance #4 to include auto sales, service and repair as a <br /> permtted use under Industrial Zoning, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Welk to send the animal <br /> ordinance draft to the Attorney for review, and to request <br /> he advise us how the ordinance affects the Sewered Residential <br /> zoned areas, motion carried unanimously. <br /> Discussion on rezoning. It was decided to review the permitted <br /> uses in the Industrial and Commercial zones and possibly add <br /> a Light Industrial zone. Upon review of these uses, the <br /> rezoning of the property at 6805 - 20th Avenue South will fall <br /> into place. Clerk will obtain copies of Industrial, Commercial, <br /> and Light Industrial uses and definitions in other cities <br /> from the League of Minnesota Cities. Buesseler will also <br /> gather additional information on Industrial, Commercial, <br /> and Light Industrial zones for the next meeting. This matter <br /> will be on the August agenda. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Appearance of Lois Tuckner. She wishes to obtain a variance <br /> for a rear yard setback on the property described as all of <br /> lots 4 throught 6, block 13, Centerville, vacated street <br /> lying N of a line extended from the SE corner of said lot 4 <br /> to the SW corner of lot 9, block 12, Centerville except the <br /> westerly 20 ft of said lots 4 through 6, block 13; lot <br /> 7 & 8, block 12, Centerville. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Lindgren to hold a public <br /> hearing on August 6, 1985, at 7:15 P.M., at City Hall to <br />
