PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING <br /> TUESDAY FEBRUARY 5, 1985 <br /> Present: Dan Tourville Elmer Murray <br /> Kathy Welk Peter Buesseler <br /> Absent: Bob Lindgren <br /> Peter Buesseler was duly recognized as a member of the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission. <br /> A motion was made by Peter Buesseler second by Kathy Welk to elect Dan Tourville <br /> Chairman of Planning & Zoning Commission, motion carried. <br /> Chairman Dan Tourville called the meeting to order at 7:25 P. M. <br /> Deputy Clerk read a letter by Mr. Brokke. Copy of which is attached to and <br /> made part of these minutes. <br /> Members of audience expressed their oppinions on this matter. <br /> Mr. Gordon Rehbein said Sunr ise Plastics has intentions of moving back to <br /> the Centerville location when the building has been added on to possibly <br /> in two years." <br /> Mr. Ken Carpentier asked if grievences would be taken care of if Sunrise <br /> Plastics mocwa back in, such as noise pollution, middle of the night traffic <br /> noise and clean up of the area around the building? <br /> Mrs. Larry Brokke',s question, "Why to they want to change it from commercial <br /> to industrial:" <br /> Chairman Tourville read her ordinances on Commercial and Industrial uses. <br /> He told her the land was now zoned Industrial as granted by the City Council <br /> and could now be used for any business listed under Industrial in the Ordinance. <br /> Mrs Brokke stated her main concern was the devaluation of her porperty. She <br /> also was concerned about the grinding of parts which landed in her yard and <br /> the shift changing which causes noise in the middle of thr night. She had <br /> complained to Sunrise Plastics and nothing was done about it. <br /> Gordon Rehbein was asked by Chairman Tourville if he wants zoning to stay <br /> industrial he said "yes ". <br /> Mr. Ken Carpentier said it was rezoned for Sunrise Plastics and they are not <br /> conducting business there now. His request is to rezone it back to Commercial <br /> until such time that Sunrise Plastics comes back. <br /> Mr. Gordon Rehbein said that Sunrise Plastics would have stayed if he could <br /> have had the building ready before the first of the year and that Sunrise <br /> Plastics does plan to come back when the building is ready. <br /> Mrs. Borkke invited members of P & Z Committee to her home to see the <br /> Surronding property in question. Committee accepted invitation. <br /> No decision was made by P & Z Committee on this matter. <br /> L <br />
