PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING - TUESDAY - MAY 5 - 7:00 PM <br /> PRESENT: Charles Baumann, Chairman Mel Dupre <br /> Bob LaMotte Charles Cross <br /> ABSENT: Elmer Murray Bob Lindgren <br /> Chairman Baumann called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm. <br /> Clerk read the public hearing notice on the rezoning request <br /> of Rudy Tschida of Contract Design, Inc., copy is on file with <br /> the clerk. Mr. Tschida answered questions on the proposed <br /> building from the P & Z and the audience. Discussion followed <br /> with the following residents voicing opinions: <br /> Leon L'Allier - 1973 Main Street <br /> Jackie L'Allier - 1973 Main Street <br /> Des Englund - 7081 Brian Drive <br /> Mike Lynch - 7245 Mill Road <br /> Roy Mattson - A.R.E• - 7129 - 20th Avenue <br /> John Trippel - Trippel's Market - 1801 Main Street <br /> Pat Perro - 7122 Shad Avenue <br /> Peter Keithly - 1979 Main Street <br /> Russ Almendinger - 1305 Mound Trail <br /> Susan Steigauf - 1433 Tenth Street - New Brighton (purchaser of <br /> property on Shad Avenue) <br /> Gerald Rehbein - 7046 Brian Drive <br /> Gary Savela - 7254 Mill Road <br /> Charles Cross - opinion as resident of Centerville <br /> Chairman Baumann polled the P & Z for their opinion on the <br /> rezoning request. Clerk verbally gave P & Z the opinion of the <br /> City Engineer and City Planner. Motion by Cross, second by <br /> Dupre that the P & Z recommend to the City Council that the <br /> rezoning request be denied as requested and no change"'the zoning <br /> NXXJXK be made, roll call taken: Cross, aye; Dupre, aye; <br /> LaMotte, aye, Baumann, aye; motion carried. <br /> Clerk read public hearing notice for the preliminary plat <br /> presentation of PELTIER LAKE HILLS ADDITION #2. After considerable <br /> discussion and discovering the plat is not in the sewered area <br /> of Centerville, motion by LaMotte, second by Cross to postone <br /> the public hearing on PELTIER LAKE HILLS ADDITION #2 until <br /> Tuesday, June 2, motion carried. Postponement is suggested <br /> to give the developer time to work out the situation of including <br /> the plat in the sewer service area and also the matter of corner <br /> lots in plat being undersized according to our ordinance. <br /> P & Z held discussion with Mike Lynch of 7245 Mill Road on his <br /> becoming a member of the committee. Motion by LaMotte, second <br /> by Dupre to recommend to the City Council the appointment of <br /> Mike Lynch to the P & Z committee, motion carried. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 9:15 pm. <br /> Rully submi ted, <br /> L k- rachar, lerk <br />
