Fr— <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING - TUESDAY - APRIL 7, 1981 - 7:00 PM <br /> PRESENT: Chuck Baumann, Chairman Bob Lindgren <br /> Mel Dupre Charlie Cross <br /> Bob LaMotte Elmer Murray <br /> Preliminary plat hearing was held on Wegleitner's Addition. <br /> Presentation was made by Wegleitner on plat, P & Z discussed <br /> letters of recommendation on plat from City Planner and City <br /> Engineer. After considerable discussion, motion was made <br /> by Cross, second by Murray to accept the preliminary plat <br /> of WEGLEITNER'S ADDITION contingent upon the drainage plan <br /> being accepted by Rice Creek Watershed District, also that <br /> a drainage easement joins the back of Lot 5, Block 1 into <br /> Lot 1, Block 2 and that drainage easement should be 20' <br /> onto the proposed Gardner Estates property, and recommendation <br /> that Anoka County Highway Department be contacted but <br /> not be contingent upon approval, motion carried. <br /> Harold Rivard of 7046 Centerville Road appeared before P &Z <br /> with request for variance to Ordinance 10. Mr. Rivard <br /> has removed his garage adjacent to his house and proposes <br /> to build a new one on the existing slab. The new garage <br /> dimensions are 26 x 28 and therefore is only 19' from his <br /> property line on Heritage Street. Motion by Dupre, second <br /> by LaMotte to recommend granting a variance to Ordinance <br /> #10, Section I, II Residential (E) -Front Yard Requirements, <br /> motion carried. <br /> Mr. Rudy Tscida of Contract Design, Inc., appeared before <br /> P & Z with sketch of building he proposes to build in <br /> Centerville. The building size would be 96 x 130 and <br /> set back 64' from the property line on Main Street. The <br /> firm is a tool and die, plastic molding shop. Discussion <br /> on proposed building held and P & Z consensus was favorable. <br /> Mr. Tschida will be appearing in front of City Council <br /> on the 8th of April with his preliminary sketch of building. <br /> Mr. Terry Elkin appeared before P & Z with questions on <br /> lot 1, Block 2, Peltier Hills Addition. <br /> Next r & meeting will be work session on ordinances, <br /> April 21st. <br /> Re ya lZlly submitted, <br /> Lu rachar, Clerk <br />
