n <br /> PLANNING & ZONING MEETING - TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 1979 <br /> PRESENT: Frank Zimny, Chairman Bob LaMotte <br /> Bob Lindgren Jerry Sundberg <br /> Ray Murray Tom Wilharber <br /> Walt Prachar,liaison Bill Short, City Planner <br /> Floyd Kruger, Park Comm. representative <br /> ABSENT: Mel Dupre Joe Perkowski <br /> Mr. Short reviewed the Clearwater Creek Estates plat. Several <br /> items were mentioned: <br /> 1. Did not agree with location of the four lots on Main Street <br /> 2. Coordinate streets with Rehbein Estates <br /> 3. Soil problems within plat <br /> 4. No park land dedication within plat <br /> 5. Rezoning all except "exception" to residential <br /> Park plan for Centerville was discussed, small parks for children, <br /> large park for being considered City Park. Possibilities for <br /> park area at the end of Heritage Street and also sharing school <br /> property on a joint basis. Park Committee's recommendation was <br /> to look into the Heritage Street property for possible park site. <br /> P & Z consensus was to look into both sites. P & Z went over <br /> the Prkland Dedication Summary presented by Mr. Short. <br /> Mr. Short presented review on the land use chapter of the city <br /> plan. After much discussion on various land uses, the subject <br /> of duplexes, tri -plex, etc., was discussed. Ray Murray made <br /> a motion for the City Council to consider for purposes of <br /> discussion, their enforcement in cases of duplexes being restricted <br /> to lot size of 22,500 square feet or our equivalent of a lot and <br /> one -half, Jerry Sunderberg seconded it, motion carried. P & Z <br /> also recommended having a moratorium on the building of multiple <br /> dwellings of 3 or more family units for one year. <br /> Flood Plain ordinance was discussed. Jerry Sundberg made a <br /> motion to go along with the HUD minimum level requirement, <br /> Bob LaMotte seconded it, motion carried. <br /> P & Z will hold special meeting on Tuesday, September 18 at <br /> 7:00 pm at City Hall. Mr. Short will be in attendance at the <br /> October 2nd P & Z meeting. <br /> Jerry Sundberg made a motion to adjourn, Robert Lindgren <br /> seconded it, motion carried.
