r <br /> PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> MEETING - TUESDAY, APRIL 3, 1979 <br /> PRESENT: Frank Zimny, Chairman Mel Dupre <br /> Jerry Sundberg Tom Wilharber <br /> Robert LaMotte Robert Lindgren <br /> Ray Murray Joe Perkowski <br /> Walter Prachar, liaison <br /> Frank Zimny, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> Clerk read notice of public hearing for James Commercial Addition <br /> in Centerville. Preliminary plat proposal of Lots 1 & 2, Block <br /> 1, James Commercial Assition was presented. Jerry Sundberg made <br /> a motion to accept plat as presented, Bob LaMotte seconded it, <br /> motion carried. <br /> Messrs. Schmitz and Schifsky appeared before council with <br /> questions on the mobile home park proposal for Main Street <br /> and 20th Avenue. Discussion was held by the P & Z members <br /> with their views being made knowsn. Joe Perkowski made a <br /> motion that the P & Z recommend to the City Council their <br /> non - concurrence with the concept of the mobile home park, <br /> Ray Murray seconded it, roll call taken: 5 voting for the <br /> motion, 2 against the motion, motion carried. <br /> Consensus of the P & Z was that 1; the size of the park <br /> would make an impact on the community which is substantially <br /> overwhelming; 2, the idea of the concept straddling the sewer <br /> district, not in favor of the park using property outside <br /> the sewer service area. <br /> Rosalyn Stanton of 20 -20 Realty in Forest Lake presented <br /> P & Z with proposal of a mobile home park proposal in <br /> Centerville being developed by Lyle Czeck. P & Z felt the <br /> same way about this proposal as the previous mobile home <br /> proposal. <br /> Joe Perkowski made a motion to adjourn, Bob LaMotte seconded <br /> it, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:20 pm. <br /> Next meeting will be May 8th, 7:00 pm at City Hall if one <br /> is not called sooner. <br /> Resr ctfully submitted, <br /> u Prahar <br /> L <br />
