PLANNING AND ZOi`:ING MELTING - Tuesday, September 6, 1977 <br /> City Hall - City of Centerville <br /> Present: Bob LaMotte, Chairman <br /> Mel Dupre Jerry Lundberg <br /> Bob Lindgren Walt Frachar, liaison <br /> John Peterson <br /> Elmer Murray <br /> Fran Burque <br /> Gene Mobley, Building, Official <br /> Absent: Leon eli1]iams • <br /> Tom Wilharber <br /> Leon L'Allier <br /> • <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman LaMette. <br /> The Dennis and Donald Zerwas families were in attendance concerning <br /> their problem of purchasing a piece of property in Centerville. <br /> Lach P & Z member had received the three page resume the Zerwas' <br /> had presented to the City "ouncil on August 24. <br /> • <br /> Discussion followed. Gene Mobley stated his participation in <br /> the matter and question and answer period followed. Mel Dupre <br /> recommended to the council that a variance be granted to the Zerwas' <br /> ' on the 5 acre piece of property they are in the process of purchasing. <br /> Council members met with P & Z and heard their recommendation of <br /> a variance to be granted because F & Z felt the Zerwas' had been <br /> misled by the Building Inspector. <br /> Fran Barque made a motion to grant a variance to Ordinance 15, <br /> Section 6, paragraph 10 on the following piece of property: <br /> The south 264.32' of the North 314.32' of the west 445' of the SE <br /> • <br /> quarter of the SW quarter of Section 23, Township 31, Range 22, <br /> Anoka County, Minnesota. Said distances being measured along the <br /> north and west lines of said SL i of -W} <br /> ���.,. (Donald Zerwas - northerly <br /> parcel), and The south 264.32' of the North 578.64' of the west <br /> 445' of the SE4 of the SW; of .Section 23, Township 31, Range 22, <br /> Anoka County, Minnesota. Said distances being measured along the • <br /> north and west lines of said SE4 of S‘ q. (Dennis Zerwas - southerly <br /> parcel), John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Fran Burque <br /> made the motion because he believed like the P & Z that the Zerwas' <br /> were misled and didn't know all the facts. <br /> • <br /> P & Z discussed the possibility of a moratorium on further building <br /> outside the sewered area of Centerville. P & L recommended a <br /> minimum lot size of 5 acres outside the sewered area with the <br /> 10 acre density guideline set out by the Metro Council or 1 house <br /> per 10 acres. <br /> The following schedule was set up for future P & L meetings: <br /> October 4th & l8th - 7:00 um. <br /> November 1st and 15th - 7:00 pm. <br /> December 6th and 20th - 7:00 pm. <br />
