DEBT PAYMENT CREDIT This amount represents a reimbursement to your community for its payment of bonded indebtedness related to facilities purchased by the Metropolitan Sewer Board. CURRENT YEAR DEFERMENT The Metropolitan Sewer Act empowers the Metropolitan Council to defer reserve capacity costs when they are disproportionate to the available economic resources of the community. This amount represents the deferment granted your community under the deferment policy adopted by the Metropolitan Council for the 1972 Budget year. CURRENT YEAR DEFERMENT CHARGES The reserve capacity costs deferred are allocated to all communities contri- buting flow to the' Metropolitan System based upon population and assessed valuation. (a) Percent of Total - This assessed value population percent is a simple average of two ratios. The ratio of your community's population to the total population of all communities contributing flow to the Metropolitan Sewer System and the ratio of your communities assessed valuation to the assessed valuation of all communities contributing flow. .(b) Amount - This is your community's share of costs deferred from other communities. It is found by applying the "percent of total" from (a) above to the total deferment granted by the council. These amounts are repayable with interest in future years. GRAND TOTAL This is your community's charge for 1972 due in 12 monthly installments.
