4. <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1995 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City <br /> of Centerville held their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 12, 1995, at the City <br /> Hall. Chairman Tourville called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. <br /> Present: Tourville, Welk, Vermeulen, LaMotte <br /> Absent: Drilling <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION by Welk, second by LaMotte to approve the meeting minutes of August 2, <br /> 1995. Motion carried, Vermeulen abstained from voting. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Eugene Houle, 7124 Centerville Road, had advised Chairman Tourville that he wanted to <br /> come before the Commission to discuss an addition to his garage but did not appear - no <br /> discussion. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> WEEDDRD1NANCE <br /> MOTION by Vermeulen, second by Welk to increase the height of growing grasses (in <br /> Section 3) from eight (8) inches to twelve (12) inches. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> This would allow for mowing less often. It was felt that the uncontrolled growth of <br /> noxious weeds and the dumping of trash and other debris on vacant and undeveloped lots <br /> should be enforced and further that Ordinance 54 should be enforced in a uniform equal <br /> manner. <br /> BUDDING DESIGN ORDINANCE (44A1 <br /> MOTION by Tourville, second by Vermeulen to incorporate Ordinance 44A - Building <br /> Design, into existing Zoning Ordinance 4, Appendixes A & B. Wording changes to reflect <br /> the desire of the community still needs to be determined. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> P &Z will discuss the possibility of a public hearing to gather input from owners in the <br /> commercial and industrial districts as well as the public at large. Hearing date to be <br /> decided at the October 3, 1995 meeting. <br /> g <br />
