He has no objection to granting a variance. Tourville also added that a <br /> sidewalk is a good solution to the trail easement for the park property. <br /> Motion by Vermeulen, second by LaMotte to recommend to approve the preliminary plat <br /> for Acorn Creek Second Addition with the contingency that Rehbein complies with the <br /> items listed in the MSA letter dated July 6, 1995. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 1.ittle Rascal Flak Special Use Permit Recommendation <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated he spoke with Paul Raschke on May 26 and 27, 1995. Mr. <br /> Raschke has been a Hugo resident for 22 years. Paul plans to retire from his full time job <br /> and work with Little Rascal Bait full time. Wilharber said this it is a real good use of the <br /> building and good for the future of Centerville. <br /> Raschke stated that he plans to utilize all of the floor space in the future. He also noted <br /> that he has talked with the neighbors and no complaints have been expressed to him. <br /> Raschke stated that the door is always open if you want to see the operation. <br /> Tourville stated that he shares the same concerns of the Fire Chief. He also added that it <br /> behooves the community to work with businesses. <br /> Reasons to grant Special Use Permit: <br /> - No problem with location of the building <br /> - Previous Owner has Special Use Permit <br /> - Concerns of the Fire Chief will be addressed <br /> - Parking is not a problem for the employees <br /> - Hazardous Wastes will be disposed of properly. <br /> Motion by Welk, second by Vermeulen to grant a Special Use Permit to Little Rascal Bait <br /> with the contingency that the Fire Chiefs recommendations will be met, and also for the <br /> reasons noted above. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Gaiden Meadows <br /> Gerald Rehbein stated that Lonnie Komovich want to put his project on hold. Rehbein <br /> also has a potential developer for the same type of project using the whole 12 acres, but <br /> that the units would be for sale. He also has an interest for an industrial building. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated when he talked with Minnesota Housing Finance Agency <br /> (MHFA) they stated Komovich had been turned down and the factors that made an <br /> impact on that decision are: transportation and the petition from the residents. Komovich <br /> now has to wait two years before re-applying. <br /> 4 <br />
