1 PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br /> 2 MEETING MINUTES <br /> 3 TUESDAY, APRIL 4, 1995 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning <br /> 6 Commission of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> 7 on Tuesday, April 4, 1995, at the City Hall. Chairman Tourville <br /> 8 called the Golden Meadows Public Hearing to order at 7:10 p.m. <br /> 9 Present: Welk, Vermeulen, LaMotte, Drilling. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Tourville described P &Z's objective for the public hearing: is <br /> 12 to hear residents complaints and advise Council, the Council then <br /> 13 takes action. Tourville stated the order in which the public <br /> 14 hearing will be conducted: they will hear the developer give his <br /> 15 presentation, P &Z members will ask questions and then the floor <br /> 16 will be open to the public. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Tourville explained the chronological history of Golden Meadows <br /> 19 dating back to July of 1990. <br /> 20 - July 12, 1990, Planning & Zoning Public Hearing: rezoning <br /> 21 proposed from Industrial to Single Family Residential <br /> 22 Sewered (R -2). <br /> 23 <br /> 24 - September 4, 1990, Planning & Zoning, request for rezoning <br /> 25 preliminary plat. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 - September 12, 1990, City Council, motion to acknowledge <br /> 28 receipt of feasibility study. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 - October 2, 1990, Planning & Zoning Commission, motion to <br /> 31 recommend to City Council to approve request for special use <br /> 32 permit. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 - October 10, 1990, City Council, motion to rezone property <br /> 35 from Industrial to R -2. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 - December 12, 1990, City Council, discussion of revised <br /> 38 sketch plan, no action taken. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 - No further action or discussion has taken place since <br /> 41 until 1995. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 Lonnie Kornovich, developer, stated the following: <br /> 44 - He was introduced to the property two and half months <br /> 45 ago. <br /> 46 - Spoke with Roger Winberg and Roger stated it was zoned <br /> 47 correctly for rental townhouses. <br /> 48 - Was told that the preliminary plats were approved. <br /> 49 - Was just made aware that a Special Use Permit would be <br /> 50 required. <br /> 51 - Was given a feasibility study dated September 6, 1990, <br /> 52 that addresses: street names, soils, flood plain <br /> 53 considerations, sanitary sewer service, municipal water <br /> 54 <br />
