MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA HELD ON TUESDAY, <br /> APRIL 13, 1993 AT 7:00 P.M. <br /> IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Tuesday, April 13, 1993 at the City Hall. Chairperson <br /> Tourville called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. Present: <br /> LaMotte, Vermeulen, City Council Liaison Mayor Buckbee, <br /> Clerk /Administrator Siebenaler. Absent: Drilling, Welk. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Motion by Tourville, second by LaMotte to table approval of the <br /> March 2, 1993 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Possibility of Amending Ordinance #4. Section 34.06 AMOUNT OF <br /> YARD OCCUPTRD. <br /> Chairperson Tourville summarized the history of the proposed <br /> amendment to Ordinance #4, Section 34.06 AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the definition of <br /> height of building from the Uniform Building Code. <br /> Chairperson Tourville suggested adding an addendum that states <br /> the accessory building should not exceed the height of the <br /> primary building to the proposed amendment. <br /> It appeared to be the consensus of the Planning and Zoning <br /> Committee members present that per the recommendation of Gunnar <br /> Pettersen, Building Inspector, that the proposed amendment of <br /> sixteen feet in height may be on the high side. <br /> Pam Harare, 7181 West Robin Lane, was present and made comment <br /> regarding the proposed amendment. <br /> Chairperson Tourville questioned if the height of the building is <br /> not to exceed fourteen feet would cause any hardship. <br /> The percentage of rear yard not to exceed was discussed. <br /> Pam Harare, 7181 West Robin Lane, noted that rear lots in the R -4 <br /> zoning district are larger because the front yard setbacks <br /> requirement is less than the other residential zoning districts. <br /> Chairperson Tourville suggested having the percent of rear yard <br /> not to exceed be the same in all sewered residential zoning <br />
