P &Z MEETING MINUTES <br /> MARCH 2, 1993 <br /> PAGE FIVE <br /> properties from R -1 Rural Residential to R -2 Single Family <br /> Residential. <br /> Motion by Tourville, second by Welk to consult the City Attorney <br /> • as to the deposition of the Peltier Lake Hills, Second Addition <br /> • <br /> rezoning, AYE - Tourville; AYE - Welk; ABSTAIN - Drilling; <br /> ABSTAIN - LaMotte, motion failed. <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> Bnnrn Creek Suh- Cnmmittee <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission discussed the Acorn Creek Sub- <br /> Committee set -up by the City Council. The Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission questioned why the City Council set up the Acorn Creek <br /> Sub- Committee. The Planning and Zoning Commission questioned if <br /> the City Council has lost confidence in the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission. In past it has been the procedure to send back <br /> proposed developments to the Planning and Zoning Commission for <br /> further review. The Planning and Zoning Commission questioned if <br /> the City Council thought the Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> neglected to research or if there was a lack of argument <br /> presented for approval of the proposed Acorn Creek development. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission expressed concern that this <br /> may happen again. <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission suggested that in the future <br /> joint meetings of the Park and Recreation Committee, Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission and City Council could be held to eliminate the <br /> need for extra meetings. <br /> It was noted that Developers have expressed concern in the past <br /> about the City of Centerville being difficult to work with. <br /> ADJOURN: <br /> Motion by Welk, second by Tourville to adjourn the meeting, <br /> motion carried unanimously.
