r <br /> Pursuant to due rail and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Tuesday, June 5, 1990 at City Hall. Chairman Tourville called <br /> the meeting to order at 7:00 p.rn. Present: Drilling, Wilharber. <br /> Absent: Welk, Verlieulen. <br /> Motion by Wilharber, second by Drilling to approve the April 19, <br /> 1990 public hearing minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> • <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Wilharber to approve the May 1, <br /> 1990 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> MAP OVERLAYS <br /> Commission member Wilharber updated the Commission members on his <br /> discussion Maier, Stewart and Associates concerning niap overlays <br /> for the City. Mr. Wilharber presented the Commission members • <br /> with examples of map overlays from the City of Lexington. Mr. <br /> Wilharber noted and that if there was a change in City Engineer <br /> the data could be transferred to the new City Engineer. • <br /> Mr. Wilharber expressed, that in his opinion, one of the <br /> advantages to computerized maps it that it would be cheaper in <br /> the future for any changes to be made. The City - s current maps <br /> are not computerized, they are all hand drawn. if the Planning <br /> and Zoning Commission chose to buy the computerized maps, they <br /> would be able to enlarge certain areas. Mr. Wilharber felt there <br /> would be man? advantages to having computerized maps. <br /> Commission member Drilling expressed that he liked the idea of <br /> computerized maps, but questioned as Lo where the high cost of <br /> the maps comes from. <br /> . <br /> tChairman 'i Tourville expressed that he too l P. liked the ides of <br /> _rnnn teri ae cj mar's, but questioned if they were to change the <br /> scale would this reduce the cost? Chairman Tourville also noted <br /> that all maps must be the same scale for the overlays. <br /> Commission member Wilharber questioned if the City Council would <br /> be willing to assist with monies from the general fund in the <br /> purchase of computerized map overlays. <br /> Chairman Tourville suggested that the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission present the computerized map overlays to the City <br /> Council in view of the fact that the Commission does not have <br /> enough money to purchase the maps. <br /> Commission member Wilharber suggested that this could be put on <br /> the City Council agenda to see what their reaction would be to <br /> their request for funds to purchase the computerized map <br /> overlays. <br /> I. <br />
