• <br /> Addition of Appendix B - INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br /> Section: <br /> B -1 - Purpose. The Industrial District is established to reserve <br /> appropriately located areas for industrial related <br /> activities, protect areas appropriate for industrial uses <br /> from intrusion by inharmonious uses, provide opportunities <br /> for certain types of industrial plants to concentrate in a <br /> mutually beneficial relationship to each other, provide <br /> adequate space to meet the needs of modern industrial <br /> development (including off - street parking, truck loading <br /> areas and landscaping), provide sufficient open space around <br /> industrial structures to protect them from the hazard of <br /> fire and to minimize the impact of industrial plants on <br /> nearby uses, establish and maintain high standards of site <br /> planning, architecture, and landscape design which will <br /> create an environment attractive to industries and research <br /> and development establishments seeking sites in the <br /> Metropolitan area. <br /> B -2 - General Minimum Requirements. The following minimum <br /> requirements, as set forth in Appendix B herein, shall apply <br /> to all buildings that may be erected, converted or <br /> structurally altered in Industrial Districts. <br /> B -3 - Permitted Principal Uses /Uses Permitted on Special Use <br /> Permit. As provided in TABLE A - SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT <br /> REGULATIONS, PERMITTED AND SPECIAL USES in this ordinance. <br /> B -4 - Setback. See TABLE B - SCHEDULE OF DISTRICT REGULATIONS <br /> LOT AND YARD REQUIREMENTS. <br /> In addition, side yards facing streets on corner lots shall <br /> be considered the same as front yards. Where a front yard <br /> or side yard of a corner lot faces a residential district <br /> across a street, the setback from the street shall be not <br /> less than 60 feet. <br /> B -5 - Building Height in Industrial Districts. As provided in <br /> Section 33.02 of this Ordinance. <br /> B -6 - Off Street Parking. As provided in Section 36 of this <br /> ordinance. <br /> In addition to Section 36: <br /> (1.) Space for a single vehicle shall be nine (9) feet by <br /> eighteen (18) feet or larger. <br /> (2.) Off street parking area shall be surfaced with asphalt <br /> or concrete, and with permanent concrete curbs to <br /> define driveways and parking limits. Plans and <br /> specifications for parking areas shall be reviewed by <br /> the City Engineer, and approved by the City Council <br /> prior to construction. <br /> (3.)
