Pursuant to due call and notico thareof, th_ Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission of the City of Centerville held its regular meeting on <br /> Tuesday, December 1, 1987. Chairman Tourville called the meeting <br /> to order at 7:10 p.m. Present: Lindgren, Welk, Drilling, and <br /> Council liaison Fritchie. Absent: Vermeulen. <br /> Motion by Welk, second by Drilling to approve the minutes of the <br /> November 3 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Sonny DaBruzzi of Ro - -So Contracting, Inc., and Dan Hollihan of <br /> Deh -wood Cabinets, 7137 - 20th Avenue North, were present to <br /> discuss the notice from the City to the cabinet shop to vacate <br /> the Ro -So building by December 10, 1987. The reason being that <br /> the cabinet shop is in a Commercial Zone and should be in an <br /> Industrial Zone. <br /> The City Attorney has advised that the only way the shop can stay <br /> is if Ordinance #4 is amended to include light manufacturing in a <br /> Commercial Zone or rezone the land to Industrial. <br /> After a lengthy discussion it was decided that Mr. DaBruzzi <br /> should come in to City Hall tomorrow and ask to be put on the <br /> Agenda for the December 9 Council Meeting. The P &Z Commission <br /> members feel they do not have enough information to handle this <br /> situation. <br /> Note: It was decided that when Ordinance #4 is revamped it will <br /> include a definition for Construction Businesses. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of Ordinance #4 and some of the changes needed. <br /> Chairman Tourville went over some of the proposed changes from <br /> the list P &Z had made up when changes were discussed in the past. <br /> *It was noted for future reference that there should be notations <br /> of dates when Amendments were added into the Ordinance. Also, an <br /> index should be added. <br /> The Assistant Clerk was asked to make an index of all Amendments <br /> added to the Ordinance since it was originally written. <br /> *It was also noted by the Assistant Clerk that the Building <br /> Inspector suggests that a limit of 4 feet be set for height of <br /> fences in back yards. <br /> City Clerk informs P &Z that $250 is left in their 1987 Budget to <br /> carry over into 1988. <br /> Discussion of Council request that the requirement that <br /> geotextile fabric be used in all new and /or reconstructed <br /> streets.
