Chairman Tourville called the <br /> meeting to order at 7:10 P.M. Present: Buesseler, Murray, <br /> liaison Wilharber, Mayor L'Allier, Lindgren arrived at 7 :35 P.M. <br /> Absent: Welk. <br /> Motion by Murray, second by Buesseler to approve the minutes <br /> of the April 1 meeting with the following change: <br /> now reads: Mr. Buckbee wanted to know if a variance <br /> was needed to build within ten feet of his <br /> north property line. <br /> corrected to read: Mr. Buckbee wanted to know if a variance <br /> was needed to build no closer than ten feet <br /> to his north property line, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> Meeting was adjourned to the public hearing at 7:15 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and <br /> Zoning Commission held a public hearing on May 6, 1986 at City <br /> Hall. Chairman Tourville called the meeting to order at <br /> 7:15 P.M. The purpose was to hear all persons present with <br /> regard to the rezoning of the Ni of the N2 of the NW4 of the <br /> SW4 Sec 24 Township 31 North Range 22 West comprising 10 <br /> acres from industrial to rural residential. <br /> Members of the audience expressed their opinions on this <br /> matter: <br /> Herman Strehlow, 830 West Arlington <br /> Leon L'Allier, 1973 Main Street <br /> Mr. Strehlow agreed to change the boundaries from the above <br /> legal description to: The Northeast Quarter of the Northwest <br /> Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (NE4 of NW4 of SW of Section <br /> 24, Township 31 North, Range 22 West, containing 10 Acres <br /> more or less, according to the United States Government <br /> survey thereof, and lying in the City of Centerville, Anoka <br /> County, Minnesota. <br /> Motion by Buesseler, second by Murray to recommend to the <br /> City Council the rezoning of the Northeast Quarter of the <br /> Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 24, <br /> Township 31 North, Range 22 West, containing 10 Acres more <br /> or less, according to the United States Government survey <br /> thereof, and lying in the City of Centerville, Anoka County, <br /> Minnesota, from industrial to rural residential, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> The reasons for the rezoning recommendation are as follows: <br /> - Rural residential seems to be an appropriate use <br /> of the land based on its limitations, <br /> - Limited if any impact on future development of <br /> 20th Avenue, <br /> - In interest of public health by creating an additional <br /> buffer zone to the creek from industrial development. <br /> Public hearing adjourned at 8:10 P.M.. <br />
