e1 PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> OCTOBER 2, 1996 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, October 2, 1996. <br /> Members present: R. Thompson <br /> M. Navin <br /> D. Larson <br /> N. Johnson <br /> K. Fogerty <br /> Reviewed Septembers Meeting Minutes and had questions. <br /> MOTION by Navin, seconded by Larson to approve the September 4, 1996 minutes. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Lino Lake Recreation Program - Navin to attend a meeting with North Metro Recreation <br /> on October 8, 1996 at 7:30 P.M., Circle Pines City Hall. Exact agenda is unknown, <br /> however, expected discussion will revolve around North Metros future and Lino Lakes <br /> providing recreation service. One other member may attend, Thompson or Fogarty. <br /> LaMotte Park - Jim March filled P &R in on the acquisition of the property. <br /> Acorn Creek - It is noted the trail easement on the South end of the park is not indicated. <br /> Eagle Park - March gave an update on the development. P &R would like City Council <br /> and the developers vote the following recommendation from P &R for further development <br /> of the dedicated land. In addition to the tennis court: Picnic Shelter, Trail, ADA ramp <br /> from parking lot to trail, swing set and monkey bars all in and sand box area. <br /> M. Navin left at 7:40 P.M. <br /> Concession Policy - Concession equipment will be used for city functions only and not <br /> made available to the public. Johnson yes, Thompson yes, Larson yes, Fogerty no. <br /> Budget - P &R proposed budget of $25,000.00 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Hockey Rink - MOTION by Johnson, seconded by Fogerty hire a seasonal Park Manager. <br /> Larson yes, Johnson yes, Fogerty yes, Thompson no. Fogerty suggested having a <br /> management policy for October. Signs need (rink closed) <br /> Willow Glen - P &R requested the city accept money in lieu of land. <br /> Review By Laws - Pass no change <br />
