CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> — PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE ENC <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> APRIL 30, 1996 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regular scheduled meeting on April 30, 1996. Meeting was called to <br /> order at 6:50 p.m. Members present: N. Johnson, C. ZoffPelton, D. Larson, K. Fogarty. <br /> Absent: R. Thompson, M. Navin, B. Bisek, City Council Liaison. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Under New Business, Eagle Pass: It will be in addition to the areas of the creek and 100 <br /> year flood or wetland req. Amend to read: The four acres are in addition to any row, <br /> utility or easements relating to Clearwater Creek. <br /> LCMR Grant Application - Greenway Corridor <br /> Fogarty brought up LCMR Grant application for Clearwater Creek Greenway Corridor. <br /> P&R supports premise but the proposal came to late to incorporate into Evergreen Estates <br /> (Eagle Pass) and Clearwater Estates. In proposed comp plan, figure 11 (growth <br /> management plan) identifies three city park acquisitions along the creek to be incorporated <br /> into the greenway. <br /> Laurie LaMotte Park <br /> The committee reviewed, revised the concept plan for park improvements. <br /> MOTION by Pelton, second by Fogarty to approve the park usage fee schedule to amend <br /> resolution 96 -05. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Paul Palzer requested suggestions as to where the girl scouts could plant a four foot pine <br /> tree. P &R will identify a location with a stake. Larson will contact Paul with this <br /> location. <br /> P&R requests total acreage on Acorn Creek development excluding easements and flood <br /> plain. Also a dollar amount for cash in lieu of remaining dedication. The committee also <br /> questioned or requested that the park property be staked out from Mill Road to Old Mill <br /> Road. <br /> P &R discussed the comp plan in preparation for joint comp plan meeting the following <br /> day. <br />
