CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> APRIL 3, 1996 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regular scheduled meeting on April 3, 1996. Meeting was called to <br /> order at 6:32 p.m. Members present: M. Navin, N. Johnson, C. Zoff Pelton, D. Larson, <br /> K. Fogarty, R. Thompson. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> MOTION by Johnson, second by Fogarty to approve March 6, 1996 meeting minutes. <br /> Motion carried, Thompson abstained. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Trudi Breuninger, City Clerk, gave P &R a summary of recent action concerning Eagle <br /> Pass (Tree Farm) development. <br /> Appearance by Mike Quigley and Roger Kolstad representing Gor -em Development. The <br /> two representatives explained the Eagle Pass Development to P &R. <br /> Fogarty had questions as it relates to Clearwater Meadows expansion. Pelton pointed out <br /> City Hall Park development and ordinance concerning park dedication that excluded any <br /> water easements. Larson raised concern about city maintenance of water way and liability <br /> to the city due to proposed park to near open water. <br /> Laura Powers - Rasmussen arrived at 7:15 p.m. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> LaMotte Park <br /> The P &R committee is extremely frustrated and concerned that the City Council has gave <br /> forth and taken action on the two issues of 6953 and 6925 Centerville Road. <br /> There was no official, documented P &R action on either of these issues yet City Council <br /> moved ahead regardless. Very disappointing. Explanation is required. <br /> Pelton and Johnson will be working on grant applications for purchase. <br /> MOTION by Larson, second by Johnson to recommend that City Council consider selling <br /> the area between the resident located at 6925 Centerville Road and the ditch. Retaining <br /> PR4 -3MM. WPS 1 <br />
