CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> FEBRUARY 7, 1996 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regular scheduled meeting on February 7, 1996. Meeting was called <br /> to order at 6:40 p.m. Members present: R. Thompson, C. ZoffPelton, B. Bisek, M. <br /> Navin and Councilmember Powers - Rasmusse Absent: K. Fogerty, N. Johnson, D. <br /> Larson. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> Quorum was not sufficient to approve January meeting minutes. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> DEAN JOHNSON. RESOURCE STRATEGIES <br /> Dean Johnson passed out a park plan and discussed with the committee. Corrections and <br /> updates were made to the park plan. <br /> Dean Johnson requested the committee to consider: 1. Committee needs to put more <br /> attention in terms of planning to the southern part of the city, specifically south of Center <br /> Street and east of County Hwy 21. 2. It was pointed out that the city owns a 40 foot <br /> outlot on Peltier Lake. <br /> Dean Johnson asked for any other comments the committee may have concerning planning <br /> and policy. None were give other that Pelton requesting Dean's feedback on the P&R <br /> direction. <br /> L� ,AKES P &R D •PARTMENT <br /> Marty Asleson, Barry Bernstein, Program Supervisor; and Janet Bona, <br /> North Metro Recreation. <br /> Asleson presented 3 issues: <br /> 1. Trail issues, there is a meeting on trails on February 8, 1996 in Hugo on trail - <br /> "Greenway System ". <br /> 1 Athletic Complex <br /> 3. General Recreation, Asleson suggested that perhaps he and his staff are open to enter <br /> into a sharing of Lino Lakes recreation services. <br /> PR2- 7MM.WPS 1 <br />
