•
TO: Mayor Wilharber & Council Members
FROM: Paul Palzer
DATE: March 14, 1995
RE: KEY FEE FOR CITY PARKS
With the recent and past problems regarding key access to the
Central Park Recreation building, I propose the following change
in the key policy. The Public Works Department will be rotating
the tumblers on a four to six year rotation and we request that
Council approves the following to help cover this cost.
We recommend that a charge of $20.00 a key be assessed to each
individual who requests one and that $15.00 will be refunded when
the key is returned. This will provide $5.00 per key revenue to
help cover the cost of changing the tumblers once a year or as
necessary.
I don't believe this is a large cost for the organizations that
use our building and equipment. It will hopefully provide us
with better control over access to the building and help to
prevent further liabilities.
Sincerely,
.
Paul Palz r
PWD /BI
