PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Wednesday, January 4, 1995 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, January 4, 1995 at the City Hall. Acting <br /> Chairperson Navin called the meeting to order at 6:37 P.M. <br /> Pr • Navin Pelton, Larson. Absent: Thompson, Drilling, <br /> eis — J, <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> December 4, 1994 meeting <br /> Consideration of the December 4, 1994 meeting minutes was tabled <br /> due to lack of members present from December meeting. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1995 Line Item Budget <br /> Motion by Pelton, second by Navin, to revise to exclude <br /> playground equipment and picnic tables. Keep hand rails and <br /> ramps but use funds from operating expenses, any '94 surplus and <br /> charitable contributions as needed. Passed unanimously. <br /> Rink Attendant Update <br /> Three rink attendants have been hired. Applications and W2 forms <br /> have been submitted to staff. <br /> Rink Maintenance Update <br /> Ice is currently in good condition. The Hockey Association, <br /> Public Works and Park and Rec are cooperatively flooding the <br /> rinks. <br /> • <br /> Security Light for Central Park Update <br /> Motion by Pelton, second by Navin, for lighting to be addressed <br /> in a Comprehensive Plan prepared for grant submittal. Passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Any other Old Business <br /> Larson explained a mix -up in responsibility in the Tree Farm <br /> fundraiser. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Request for Rinks - Centennial Youth Hockey Association <br /> Motion by Navin, second by Larson, to approve the hours of 5:30- <br /> 9:00 P.M., Monday through Thursday, for the Centennial Youth <br /> Hockey Association. Navin to confirm with a letter to the <br /> Association. Passed unanimously. <br /> Transportation Enhancements Program <br /> Pelton will represent the City at the informational meeting on <br /> January 15, 1995 from 9:00 - Noon. <br /> Any other New Business? <br /> Navin will contact Chief Van Burkleo to request a police visit <br />
