PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUT'F.S <br /> We'fnesda;g, Dece:7her 1994 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, December 7, 1994 at the City Hall. Chairperson <br /> Dixon called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m. Present: Felton, <br /> Navin, Thomson, Reisdorfer. Absent: Larson, City Council Liaison <br /> MINUTES <br /> October 5, 1994 Regular Meeting <br /> Motion by Pelton, second by Navin to approve the October 5, 1994 <br /> regular meeting minutes, motion carried unanimouisly. <br /> November 2, 1994 Regular Meeting <br /> Motion by Pelton, second by Dixon to approve the November 2, 1994 <br /> regular meeting minutes with the correction of Comittee member Navin <br /> beingcabsent,'motions carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Line Item Budget <br /> It appeared to be the consensus of the Park and Recreation Committee <br /> members that since the City Council decreased their budget by $5,000, <br /> the Park and Recreation Committee will basicly only operating funds <br /> for 1995. No improvements will be possible. <br /> Council member Wilharber noted that the City Council would like <br /> to have a zero percent increase in property taxes. <br /> Regarding the budget and redoing it for the $5,000 decrease, the <br /> Park and Recreation Committee will table discussion until the next <br /> regular meeting. The Park and Recreation Committee requests City <br /> staff to include copies of their 1995 budget in the next packet. <br /> Central Park Extension <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee noted they have been advised <br /> that the extension of Central Park has been put on hold. A goal <br /> of the Committee will be to put together a comprehensive plan <br /> with detailed development costs by March of 1995. <br /> Central Park - Rink Attendant <br /> The park and Recreation Committee member Navin and Thompson noted <br /> they currently have two applicants. Chairperson Dixon submitted <br /> four more names for consideration. Committee members Navin and <br /> Thompson are to coordinate interviews. <br /> Central Park - Flooding <br /> Committee member Thompson will coordinate the flooding of the rink <br /> with City staff and rink attendants. He will also ask City staff <br /> about clearing snow from the rink and other maintenance issues. <br />
