PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> Wednesday, November 2, 1994 - 6:30 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, November 2, 1994 at the City Hall. Chairperson <br /> Dixon called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. Present: Larson, <br /> Thompson, Pelton. Absent: Drilling, Reisdorfer. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> October 5, 1994 meeting. <br /> Consideration of the October 5, 1994 meeting minutes was tabled. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Five Year Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> It was noted this item was completed at the October 5, 1994 <br /> meeting. <br /> Line Item Budget for 1995. <br /> It was noted this item was completed at the October 5, 1994 <br /> meeting. <br /> DNR - Outdoor Recreation Grant Program Update /Extension of <br /> Central Park. <br /> Motion by Dixon, second by Larson that the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee again requests the City Council take timely action to <br /> further the process of the purchase of the extension of Central <br /> Park; <br /> no action on the preparation of the DNR Outdoor <br /> Recreation Grant can be taken by the Park and <br /> Recreation Committee until a tentative agreement has <br /> been reached, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Central Park - Rink Attendant Update / Centennial Youth Hockey <br /> Association - Request for Charitable Gambling Funds. <br /> An ad has been placed in the local papers for rink attendants. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee submitted a request to the <br /> Centennial Youth Hockey Association for $1000.00 in charitable <br /> gambling funds to make rink improvements. Committee member <br /> Larson updated the Park and Recreation Committee regarding the <br /> rink maintenance needs. <br /> ADJOURN. <br /> Motion by Pelton, second by Thompson to adjourn the meeting, <br /> motion carried unanimously.
