PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 1993 - 6:30 P.M. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Wednesday, September 1, 1993 at the City Hall. Acting <br /> Chairperson Larson called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. <br /> Present: Drilling, Navin, Reisdorfer, City Council Liaison <br /> Wilharber_ Absent: Dixon. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Reisdorfer to approve the August 4, <br /> 1993 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> 7163 West Rubin Lane - Damage to Siding <br /> Kent and Lori Sandahl, 7163 West Robin Lane, were present. The <br /> Sandahls stated there is damage to their house because of <br /> children still playing hard ball, utilizing their home as a back <br /> stop. <br /> The Sandahls noted that they have called the police and also <br /> talked to the children themselves. The Sandahls would like a <br /> permanent solution to their problem. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Drilling to have the City staff <br /> send a letter to all homes within a one mile radius explaining <br /> the situation; <br /> - Committee member Drilling will work the City staff to <br /> get the proper wording of the letter; <br /> - if the Park and Recreation Committee can, the letter <br /> will mention possible legal liability to the parents; <br /> - also have the police stop people if they see them doing <br /> these type of activities, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Landscape Structures - Installation of Water Tower Park Rauinment <br /> - Update. <br /> Committee member Navin will order the timbers and rebar to be <br /> delivered so that the Park and Recreation Committee can install <br /> the border on Saturday. <br /> The Park and Recreation Committee requests City staff to send <br /> thank you letters to the volunteers who helped with the <br /> installation of the playground equipment as follows: <br /> Don Simonson <br />
