J
NEW BUSINESS
1.BILL BISEK FROM KELLY'S CORNER WAS PRESENT - THANKED THE CITY FOR
USE OF THE FIELDS AND EFFORTS. BILL PRESENTED US WITH THE RECEIPTS
FOR VARIOUS EXPENSES SHOWING WHAT WORK HE HAD DONE ON THE FIELDS.
THIS WAS REQUESTED AS SUBSTITUTION FOR FEES FOR THE FIELDS. BILL
READ A LETTER OF THANK YOU AND ALSO GAVE US SUGGESTIONS FOR
IMPROVEMENTS FOR NEXT YEAR.
BILL HAS DECIDED NOT TO USE THE FIELDS FOR 1994 EXCEPT FOR WEEKEND
USE. HE FEEL THAT IT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE FIELDS
AVAILABLE FOR THE KIDS. THE P &R APOLOGIZED FOR THE MESS AT THE
BEGINNING BUT IT WAS CAUSE BY THE LITTLE LEAGUE NOT FOLLOWING THE
PROPER PROCEDURES IN DEALING WITH THE P &R COMMITTEE.
2. ORV EXPRESSED CONCERN THAT THE MAINT CREW IS WORKING HARD TO
KEEP THE PARKS MAINTAINED AND THEY KEEP GETTING COMPLAINTS. HE
FEELS THAT THEY ARE BEING PUT IN A BAD LIGHT AND IT IS NOT FAIR.
WE TOLD HIM THAT WE WISH TO HAVE HIM DO THE MAINTENANCE OF THE
PARKS WITHOUT OUR INVOLVEMENT. IF WE HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS,
WE CAN RELAY THIS TO THEM. WE WILL ASK THE COUNCIL AGAIN TO
REMOVE THE MAINTENANCE FROM OUR BUDGET.
BUT WE FEEL THAT WE SHOULD NOT BE INVOLVED IN THE PROCEDURES OF THE
MAINTENANCE DEPT.
ORV WILL BE BACK IN SEPT TO DISCUSS TRANSPLANTING OF TREES /BUSHES
AT WATERTOWER PARK.
3. motion by reisdorfer to have LITE BRITE INSTALL THE SECURITY
LIGHTS AT CENTRAL PARK FOR A PRICE OF THE LESSER OF 900 DOLLARS OR
THE BID RECEIVED BY DIXON.
