r <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting <br /> on Tuesday, hlay 8, 1990 at City Hall. Chairman Dixon called the <br /> meeting to order at 7 :15 p.m. Present: Drilling, Reisdorfer, <br /> liaison Felton. Absent: LeTendre. <br /> Mouton by Dixon, second. by Drilling to approve the minutes of the <br /> April 10, 1990 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> NEW COMMTTTEE MEMBER <br /> Ms. Pat: Downing, 1876 Prairie Drive, appeared at the meeting au a <br /> nominee member of the Park and Recreation Committee. She <br /> presented her desire to become a member and discussed some of her <br /> concerns. <br /> Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to recommend to the City <br /> Council Ms. Downing for appointment to the Park and Recreation <br /> Committee, motion carried unanimously. <br /> OLD BUSINESS• <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT <br /> The Treasurer's Report was reviewed. Discussion pertained to <br /> what the plans were for the unspent dollars. It was decided that <br /> at the June 12, 1990 meeting, the committee would revise the 1990 <br /> budget numbers to conform with the Treasurer's report. <br /> Motion by Dixon, second by Drilling to approve the Treasurer's <br /> report, motion curried unanimously. <br /> CENTENNIAL ICE ARENA <br /> At the April 10, 1990 meeting the Park and RecreatioI: Committee <br /> discussed ed the arena With Mr. Frank Z mny. The Park and <br /> Rvnre Onmmii tee ha ^, l,F -e-, fnr rinnar,inn to the .y ren <br /> Motion by Drilling, second by Dixon to table the issue until we <br /> are able to review any future referendums frolri the school <br /> district and obtain citizen input, motion carried unanimously. <br /> LAWN MOWER <br /> Liaison Felton presented tractor /mower options that the City <br /> Council has been reviewing. Discussion followed as to who should <br /> pay for what and what are the needs of the Public Works <br /> Department. <br /> The point was made that if we start splitting the cost of major <br /> capital improvements between the City and various departments, <br /> how do we split, handle and control the cost of future repairs <br /> and maintenance. <br />
