MINUTES OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> JULY 11, 1989 <br /> Present: Steve Dixon Jerry LeTendre <br /> Lisa Smith <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Because the minutes from the last meeting were submitted late, <br /> each member reviewed them at this meeting. Motion by LeTendre to <br /> accept minutes as read. Second by Smith. Motion carried. <br /> No financial report at this time, as the treasurer was a lent. <br /> Discussion regarding goals for the future park system was; tabled <br /> until a future date. <br /> Regarding the grading of the Hardwood Pond area, Steve noted that <br /> the grading was extremely rough, and inquired about whether we <br /> should accept the job as completed. Upon speaking with Tammy, <br /> Steve was informed to contact the Public Works Director regarding <br /> what, if anything, is being done about this, or what action the <br /> P &R Committee can take. Further discussion was tabled until more <br /> information can be gathered. <br /> The Committee spent considerable time working on and discussing <br /> the 1990 budget. The budget will be submitted to City Council <br /> for approval when all members have had an opportunity to review <br /> it and make suggestions. <br /> The remainder of the the meeting was spent discussing the <br /> upcoming Nite Lite Golf Tournament, to be held July 14, 1989. It <br /> is expected that up to 75 people will attend, with a more <br /> realistic goal of 40 being set. Motion by LeTendre that door <br /> prizes be awarded, second by Dixon, notion carried. <br /> Motion by Smith to adjourn meeting at 9:10 p.m. Second by <br /> LeTendre. Meeting adjourned. <br />
