Park and Recreation Meeting Minutes Tuesday, December 13, 1988 Present: Gerard LeTendre Carol Pelton Steve Dixon Walt Newmann, Council Liasion Cindy Paschke Others Present: Lisa Smith George Haberman Chad Leibel Renee Heureng Orville Hughes Jeremy Arvidson The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. LeTendre made the motion to accept the November minutes as written, second by Dixon, unanimously accepted. After reviewing the City Council minutes, and the P & Z minutes, the P & R Committee requests that the City Clerk make copies of the resolution that the CC adopted November 17th, for the P & R members. Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, reported that he made up the six key sets that he had been asked to, and that they were with the City Clerk. Orville also asked the P & R members what connections they might need for the flooding of the rinks. Dixon made a motion to recommend to the City Council that they appoint Jeremy Arvidson, David Chu, and Chad Leibel as the rink attendants for the 1988 -89 skating season, second by LeTendre, unanimously accepted. P & R requests that the City Clerk make copies of the receipts and disbursements for Gerard LeTendre from November on. The old rules and regulations for rink attendants and skating from last year will be issued, along with the duties expected of the rink attendants. Dixon or LeTendre will be making up a checklist of how to operate the warming house, and they will be posting it on a wall in the warming house. Paschke recommends that Steve Dixon be appointed as chairperson of the Park and Recreation Committee, second by LeTendre, unanimously accepted. LeTendre made a motion to request that Paschke and Felton continue to represent P & R at the Comprehensive Planning Committee, second by Dixon, unanimously accepted. Dixon made a motion to begin construction of the park building as planned, LeTendre second, unanimously accepted. P & R received the building permit 88 -60, and will be displayed as necessary by LeTendre. Dixon recommends to the CC that they appoint Lisa Smith and Dan Kupfer as members of the P & R committee, second by LeTendre, unanimously accepted.
