w <br /> ti <br /> Park and Recreation Committee <br /> December 8, 1987 Meeting Minutes <br /> Present: Carol Pelton Steve Appel Carol Fritchie, <br /> Cindy Paschke Steve Dixon Council Liaison <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7 ;00 p.m. <br /> After reviewing the minutes, Appel made a motion to accept the <br /> minutes of the November 10th meeting, Dixon second, unanimously <br /> accepted. The City Council minutes were reviewed with some <br /> discussion on the items listed below: <br /> - October 28th minutes - Centerville Heights park land and <br /> dedication fee, and the sweeper. <br /> - November 9th minutes - Summer Recreation Program, and the <br /> newly planted tree in Royal Meadows Park. <br /> - November 23rd - Steve Dixon appointed new P & R member, the <br /> Summer Recreation Program, and the Fire Commission in regards <br /> to flooding the rinks. <br /> Just a reminder to the City Clerk, Steve Appel needs the receipts <br /> and disbursements. <br /> Pelton reported that the controls will be moved on the City Hall <br /> side of the building to accomodate flooding the hockey rink. <br /> She then reported that as of December 8th, we have one individual <br /> interested in being a rink attendant, and one individual interested <br /> in snowblowing. They are Rick L'Allier at 429 -1788, and Tony <br /> Rehbein at 429 -0792, respectively. P & R members were asked <br /> to contact any individual sixteen years and older they felt <br /> might be interested in being a rink attendant. Pelton also <br /> requested that each P & R member go door to door in search of <br /> volunteers to man the warming house and hockey rink on weekends. <br /> Pelton will hand out calendars to P & R members for a two week <br /> time period with three hour time slots on it. <br /> Gerald LeTendre was in attendance at 8 :00 p.m. <br /> P & R requests of the City Clerk what the status of the sweeper <br /> is, and to have the city workers put it high on the priority <br /> list. Also, a reminder to have the City Clerk get the satellite <br /> delivered by December 15th. <br /> The Hockey Association will be requested to put up a check for <br /> $25 when their flooders are given keys,to be held until the keys <br /> are returned at the end of the season. The paid rink attendant's <br /> last check will be held until their keys have been turned in. <br /> This is being done so as to not have so many missing keys. <br /> P & R requests that the City Clerk get the following information <br /> from individuals given keys to the warming house and City Hall. <br /> We would like the individual's name, address, and phone number <br /> during the day and night. <br /> -1- <br />
